MENTA comes from the Latin word mentha. Greek name Mintha nymph daughter of Cocytus (infernal smoke), lover of Pluton. Legend has it that Proserpina Pluton wife out of jealousy transformed the beautiful nymph in a plant.
In our garden we have a variety Mentha Spicata or Hierba Buena served in aromatherapy as an emotional stimulant and energizing effect. Physically acts as a decongestant, digestive and refreshing. It is indicated to assist and facilitate digestion.
In ancient Greece it was used to perfume houses and water from their baths to strengthen the body and give a good smell.
